![]() The main course was lamb three ways loin, sweetbread and breast, with the panel commenting on the quality of the lamb. The meal started with an amuse bouche, an interesting take on a cauliflower ice-cream, followed by a Gazpacho starter with pickled vegetable and basil oil which impressed the panel enormously. ![]() Not only did the chefs have to design a spectacular menu, but they also had to offer stunning vegetarian options for the President himself. With two and a half hours to complete the task their final menu was served to a panel consisting of the RSM’s President, Mr Babulal Sethia, plus five distinguished guests, including Director of 1 Wimpole Street, Nigel Collett. For the first time they had to work together as a team to create and cook a three-course fine dining menu. Judged by Monica Galetti and Michelin-starred chef Marcus Wareing, five of the ten remaining chefs in the competition battled it out in the kitchens at 1 Wimpole Street. ![]() The Royal Society of Medicine (RSM), 1 Wimpole Street appeared on prime time television on 7 December when MasterChef: The Professionals visited the venue during knockout week.
